Heating

Teelow Pools believe your pool or spa should be a warm oasis, when you want it, without the huge costs associated. Today more and more pools and spas are fully heated using various means to heat. Our heating options provide a cost effective solution to enable you to gain the most from your investment in your swimming pool or spa, by allowing the whole family to enjoy the benefits of relaxing and exercising in comfortable warm water.

There are several options available; ranging from solar heating; gas heating or electric heat pumps. With rising costs of carbon emissions, our supplier has revolutionised their heaters, to become world leaders in new technologies:

Gas Heaters

Natural Gas heating is still considered the most economical way to heat your pool or spa. Our preferred units run on reduced operating costs by approximately 20% over conventional gas heaters; reduced Co2 Emissions; Condensation produced is collected and returned to the pool, whilst maintaining a consistent and even temperature. With low operating costs, you can expect to extend your swimming season or choose to swim all year round.

Heat Pumps

Based on the same principle employed in air conditioners and refrigerators, heat pumps extract the heat that exists in the atmosphere around us and delivers it through the swimming pool water. They are whisper quiet; super efficient with fast heat up times, which ensures they are environmentally Friendly, with low operating costs & can extend your swimming season or ability to swim all year round.

Solar Heating

Heating water with solar absorbers is a proven century old thermal engineering concept. Solar systems are economical and long life because they are simple – cold water pumped from your pool through solar absorbers on your hot roof, heats as it makes the return trip to your pool. The water temperature is managed by an electronic controller. You set your desired water temperature and operating times and forget it. You can also alter your settings at any time for a quick boost of heat, or to reduce the pool temperature during a heat wave.

Black absorber is the most efficient colour for heat collectors. But, if your solar absorber must be placed on part of the roof that is highly visible, you can choose an absorber colour to blend with your roof colour. The difference in heat absorption between colours is not significant, so you do not need to detract from the appearance of your property, to add value to your swimming pool. Whilst this form of heating will not generally allow for all year round swimming in NSW, you could expect it to extend your season by approximately 13 weeks and increase water temperature by around 6 – 8 degrees.
